Executive functioning coaching

Executive Functioning represents a set of skills that underlie the capacity to meet goals, plan activities, follow multiple-step directions, organize assignments, schedule homework and even the develop self-control. While we aren’t born with these skills, we are born with the capacity to develop them. For students still in school, these skills are crucial to success.

Strong executive functioning skills help students learn to focus on tasks, filter out common distractions, break down content into sizable chunks, and plan ahead so they can stay on track while juggling multiple priorities. Ultimately, good executive functioning skills lead to better mental health outcomes as well, as students who are organized and on top of their work experience less stress and are happier overall.

Here's an excellent resource where you can access more resources so you can tackle this on your own. But we know that it can be frustrating to constantly be talking to your children about developing these kinds of skills. Our trained academic coaches have worked to develop these skills with hundreds of students. Contact us to talk about how we can start working with your child.
