"There are really no words to describe the professionalism and partnership that we receive. At every IEP meeting our families speak with clinicians that not only take them through important testing data but speak to them with patience, compassion, and countless ideas about what to do next. It is essential throughout the special education process that families and schools remember that this is about support and partnership and this is abundantly clear from our experiences. We have also had the opportunity to receive professional development and support. This has been a game changer for our entire faculty. Our interventions, our differentiation, and overall programming changed for the better. This is due to always putting students and teachers first in terms of support and feedback to enhance student learning and growth. Our partnership is one of the professional relationships we value the most."

Did the evaluation provide you with the information you were looking for?
"Yes. I searched for months unsuccessfully until I found PCEA. Without them, it would have been impossible for us to get approved for Social Security disability. The information they provided was not only spot on but I was unable to find any other testing centers that would have even come close to what they provided.
Did you find the feedback session helpful?
Without the feedback session, everything would just be on paper. My understanding would be more intellectual as compared to having it more heartfelt and connected on an emotional level (when I met with PCEA)."
What else would you like to share?
(There was) patience and understanding from the evaluators. The time that they spent (talking to us) and willingness to work with us was like a family friend, as opposed to some corporate business deal. I really felt welcome and cared for.

Did you find the feedback session helpful?
The feedback was invaluable- clear and informative. Very patient and thorough! They took there time explaining all aspects of the assessment and results, and answered any questions or misunderstandings that we had. The layers of information really enabled us to see how to address learning or processing concerns from many angles/ vantage points.
Please explain how this process was helpful to your family.
The process enabled us to see how our daughters capacity for learning was/is not limited to any one specific learning modality or method. We were able to determine how we can better support her processing information based upon the way she learns.
Please feel free to provide any additional information that you think would be helpful to other families like yours.
I would advise parents to get Psychological testing, particularly a verbal and non-verbal PE,
as early as possible so as to be able to assist your child and the school. This decreases the potential for the school from misclassifying and/or misdiagnosing your child.
